"Of joys departed, / Never to return how painful the remembrance.”
Edward was born on May 4, 1785 in Berlin, MA to Nathan and Beulah (Wood) Johnson, the first son and second of their five children. He was named after his father’s father who had died a few months earlier.
On April 20, 1817 he married Anna Park. Both of them were living in Berlin. Edward was 31, and it was his first marriage, so the marriage intentions spell out that he was unmarried. The couple had one child in Berlin, a son named Edward Pilsbury, in 1819. They may have had other children elsewhere—Find a Grave also lists a daughter.
Edward died in Berlin on November 15, 1827 and rests in the Old Burying Ground in Berlin.
